City staff recommend City Council authorization to prepare plans and specifications for the 2027 Microsurface & Striping
project.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The City, as part of the ongoing Pavement Management Program, completes annual street maintenance projects to
extend the useful life of the streets under the jurisdiction of the City. The 2027 Street Maintenance Projects include
microsurfacing and striping. The Capital Improvement Plan includes 2027 funding in the amount of $187,944 for this
project. Attached is an exhibit showing streets which are currently proposed for microsurfacing in 2027.
Pending approval to complete the plans and specifications, the City Council should expect plans and specifications
available for approval and authorization for advertisement for bid in January 2027, with potential consideration of bid
awards in February 2027.
