RESOLUTION NO: 2026-78
ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the City has approved plans and specifications for the Dual 18" Watermain Project and advertised for bids; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the advertisement for bids for the construction of the Dual 18" Watermain Project, bids were
received, opened on September 9, 2026, and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying
with the advertisement; and

WHEREAS, it appears that Kirchoff Construction Inc., of Albertville, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder for the Base
Bid; and
WHEREAS, the City will accept the Base Bid in the amount of $1,400,013.56 from Kirchoff Construction Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO, MINNESOTA:
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Kirchoff Construction Inc.,
of Albertville, Minnesota in the name of the City of Otsego for the Dual 18" Watermain Project, according to the
plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the bid bond made with their bids,
except that the bid bond of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has
been signed.
