RECOMMENDATION:
City staff recommend the City Council provide the opportunity for ISD 728 leaders to present information to the
community.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Independent School District No. 728 is currently the 8th largest school district in Minnesota and is home to 14,500
students from the communities of Elk River, Rogers, Otsego, Zimmerman, Baldwin, Albertville, St. Michael and
surrounding townships.
School District officials including Superintendent Dr. Andrew Almos and Community Engagement Director Cory Franson
will be present at this meeting to provide an information presentation about the 2026 Referendum.
The School District has developed a website for the 2026 Referendum that has more information for community
