The specific funds that relate to Parks and Recreation are Trail Management (Fund 202) and Parks Capital Equipment (Fund 205), which are funded through the general tax levy. Park Development (Fund 203) is funded through park dedication. Staff will have an informative presentation of the DRAFT CIP at the meeting. The discussion will be focused on upcoming projects in 2026 and beyond. The proposed projects identified for 2026 pending council approval are: • Annual Trail Maintenance and Renewal based on ratings (Trails throughout the City) (Fund 202) • Lily Pond Park Renovation (Fund 205) • River Landing (probable parkland purchase) (Fund 203) • Prairie Park Phase 1 Planning (Fund 203) • Prairie Pointe Wetland Bridge (Fund 203) • Lefebvre Creek Greenway Spur (Fund 203) Requested Commission Action Staff requests the Parks and Recreation Commission participate in discussion after the presentation and provide feedback on the Parks and Trails CIP.
