BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
A local Girl Scout has generously donated a handcrafted Adirondack chair and Girl Scout cookies to the City of Otsego
Parks and Recreation Department. The estimated value of the donation is $130.
The City of Otsego greatly appreciates this thoughtful contribution, which reflects a spirit of community service and
generosity. Donations such as these help enhance the Parks and Recreation Department while demonstrating the
positive impact that local youth can have within the community.
The City thanks Girl Scout Troop #18170 for their generosity and community donation to the Parks and Recreation
Department.

RESOLUTION NO: 2026-52
ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM GIRL SCOUT TROOP #18170
WHEREAS, Girl Scout Troop #18170 has donated physical equipment and food valued in the amount of $130.00 to the City of
Otsego; and
WHEREAS, the donation to the City of Otsego is for the enhancement and benefit of the community; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations or real or personal property to be accepted only
with the adoption of a resolution of the governing body; and
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego sincerely thanks Girl Scout Troop #18170 for their generous donation and for its support of the
community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO, MINNESOTA:
1. That the donation of physical equipment and food from Girl Scout Troop #18170 valued in the amount of $130.00 has
been hereby accepted.
