City staff recommend the City Council accept quotes and authorize the 2026 crack filling project.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Each year, as part of the City’s Pavement Management Program, the City contracts the crack filling of City streets.
Crack filling is recommended on some of the newly constructed streets and those that have recently been
reconstructed or received a mill & overlay are also candidates for crack filling in addition to touching up existing crack
filling that has been done and needs to be over-banded as routine maintenance.
Staff have requested quotes from ACI Asphalt & Concrete and T.A.G. Asphalt & Concrete (T.A.G.), and received a per
pound quote of $3.25/Lb. from T.A.G. ACI Asphalt and Concrete declined to submit a quote. This price is only
$.05/Lb. more than the 2025 bid that the City received. It is staff’s recommendation that T.A.G. complete the 2026
crack filling project at the rate of $3.25/Lb. for a total project cost not to exceed the 2026 budget of $107,100.
