City staff recommend the City Council approve the hiring for Seasonal Parks Maintenance positions.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
To support the Parks and Recreation Department responsibilities in parks maintenance, staff recommend the hiring of
Jaxson Bean, Ethan Mitlyng, and Sam Cassady for the budgeted positions of seasonal Parks Maintenance. If approved
Jaxson, Ethan, and Sam would assist with seasonal mowing, trash removal, athletic fields maintenance, as well as
various other park projects. Jaxson and Ethan will be returning to the roles, and it will be Sam’s first summer with the
City. Jaxson, Ethan, and Sam have undergone an interview, reference inquiry, and successfully passed a background
check.
The Seasonal, Temporary & Part-Time Pay Plan outlines a range of $15.00- $22.00 per hour for the Seasonal Parks
Maintenance positions.
