Call to Order.
Chair Kitty Baltos called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Roll Call: Commissioners: Angie Dehn, Kurt Baldry, Matt Danzl, Stephanie McCool
and Joe Tyberghein.
Absent: Commissioner: Jessica Schaffer
City Council Members: Michelle Lund, and Corey Tanner.
Staff: Nick Jacobs, Parks and Recreation Director and Connie Schwecke, Recreation
Supervisor.
1.Open Forum.
2.Consider Agenda Approval.
Commissioner Danzl motioned to approve the agenda. Seconded by
Commissioner Dehn. All in favor. Motion carried.
3.Consider Meeting Minutes.
3.1 November 18, 2025, Meeting Minutes.
Commissioner Tyberghein motioned to recommend to the City Council
to approve the November 18, 2025, meeting minutes as written.
Seconded by Commissioner McCool. All in favor. Motion carried.
4.Unfinished Business.
4.1 Lily Pond Park Improvements
Parks and Recreation Director Jacobs presented the memo and introduced
Hannah Schmitz from HKGi who reviewed the concept plan and presentation.
Tim Salmonson from Midwest Playscapes was in attendance and answered some
questions regarding the zipline.
After discussion, the commissioners agreed to proceed with Midwest Playscapes
for the bidding process.
Commissioner McCool motioned to recommend to the City Council to
approve the Lily Pond Park Improvements as discussed and authorize
Midwest Playscapes for bidding process. Seconded by Commissioner Dehn.
All in favor. Motion carried.
4.2 Prairie Park Phase 1
Parks and Recreation Director Jacobs presented the memo and reviewed
amenities that were approved.
After discussion, the commissioners agreed to proceed with the proposal.
Commissioner Tyberghein motioned to recommend to the City Council
to approve HKGi grant writing proposal and authorize staff to apply for the
Minnesota Outdoor Recreation Grant. Seconded by Commissioner Baldry.
All in favor. Motion carried.
5.New Business.
6.Parks and Recreation Update.
Parks and Recreation Director Jacobs provided the Parks update and Recreation
Supervisor Schwecke provided the Recreation update.
7.City Council Reports.
City Council Member Lund provided the City Council update.
8.Adjourn.
Commissioner McCool motioned to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner
Danzl. All in favor. Motion carried. Adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
