City staff recommend City Council approval of plans and specifications and authorize the bid process.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Plans and specifications have been completed for the 2026 Otsego Microsurfacing & Striping project. The Street
Maintenance Plan (SMP) includes micro-surfacing and paint striping of various streets throughout the City according to
the current street maintenance schedule and CIP.
The project is not scheduled to start until at least July 15, 2026 to allow City public works staff to perform patching
necessary as well as have all crack filling completed.
The Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) includes $210,356 to fund this project, with the current engineer estimate of project
costs to be $211,972. Pending approval, City staff would anticipate bid results being presented to the City Council in
March.
