City staff recommend the City Council approve an extension of a final plat approval.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
US Homes, LLC (d/b/a Lennar) received final plat approval for Meadows of Otsego 2nd Additon on 10 February 2025.
Final plat approvals are valid for one year unless extended by the City Council in accordance with Section 10-5-3.E.4 of
the Subdivision Ordinance. Lennar has requested an extension of the final plat approval until 1 June 2026. The
extension coincides with the developer’s planned closing on the property.
There have been no changes to the Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance or Subdivision Ordinance that would apply
to the subject property. The City Code has been amended to update the Fee Schedule for 2026. Accordingly,
extension of the final plat approval is to be contingent on payment of applicable fees in effect at the time the
development contract is executed and final plat recorded.
