No No BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION: 2026 Pay Plan: Seasonal and Temporary Positions The City’s current pay plan for seasonal and temporary positions was adopted on December 9, 2024, and became effective on January 1, 2025. Proposed changes to this Pay Plan include: - Recreation Department – no proposed changes. - Seasonal Maintenance – no proposed changes. - Election Judges - $1.00 increase to the minimum and maximum hourly rates. - Internships – no proposed changes. 2026 Pay Plan: Scored Positions City Staff began the budgeting process with a 4.00% cost of living adjustment, to allow for flexibility throughout the entire budget process. City Staff collected and presented information on surrounding communities and the consumer price index (CPI) for the November 24 budget meeting. This data was reviewed by the City Council with the majority directing staff to keep the respective cost of living adjustment within the final budget. Each position has been scored by Abdo to assign positions to a pay grade, scores are based on job descriptions. The proposed Pay Plans, if approved by the City Council, would become effective January 1, 2026.
