City Staff are recommending City Council approval of Change Order #1 and Pay Application #2 to C & L Excavating, Inc.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
This application includes payment for trail patching, street replacement, valve stake, turf establishment, and irrigation
system allowance. Note that the high quantity listed for Item 3 is prorated payment for overlay that matched the total
thickness to 4” (due to an overlay) instead of 3”. Change Order #1 is to add payment for a hydrant extension to set
hydrant at correct height.
In accordance with Minnesota Statute, the City is withholding the maximum of 5% retainage of work completed,
which amounts to $45,825.42 at this time.
