BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Otsego Prairie Festival was held on September 13, 2025, with an estimated attendance of 11,500 people. There
were 102 vendors, 13 food vendors, and 200 car show participants. To provide a variety of affordable activities for all
ages the Festival Committee works with area civic groups and businesses to provide monetary donations and
volunteers.
Over 75 volunteers from various organizations helped to make the festival a safe and fun event. These organizations
included Otsego Lions, Otsego Rod and Custom, Elk River Lions, and senior volunteers from RSVP.
The attached resolution outlines the organizations who donated to the 2025 Otsego Prairie Festival.

WHEREAS, the following Sponsors have made cash donations to the City of Otsego for the 2025 Prairie Festival; and

WHEREAS, the donation to the City of Otsego is for the purpose of supporting provisions of community events in Otsego; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations or real or personal property be accepted only with
the adoption of a resolution of the governing body; and
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego sincerely thanks the before mentioned business and community organizations for their generous
donation and for the support of their community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO, MINNESOTA:
1. That the aforementioned donations for the 2025 Otsego Prairie Festival are hereby accepted.
