RECOMMENDATION:
City staff are recommending City Council approval of Pay Application #1 and Change Order #1 for the 80th Street Trail
Improvement Project.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
This pay application is for mobilization, clearing and grubbing, removals, sawing bituminous pavement, common
embankment, aggregate base, culvert and sewer, silt fence, and other work. Items remaining include wearing course
mixture, concrete walk and driveway, curb and gutter, and seeding.
Change Order #1 includes three items. Item 1 is removal of deteriorated concrete driveway where the trail crosses.
Item 2 is replacement of discovered draintile compromised by trail. Item 3 is removal of large tree that fill slope is
covering the trunk to a depth of 2’.
In accordance with Minnesota Statute, the City is withholding the maximum of 5% retainage of work completed,
which amounts to $8,918.10 at this time.
