City staff recommend the City Council accept quotes and authorize a contracted asphalt patching project.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Staff have identified multiple areas that will require patching to be completed by a contractor as they are larger
patches than what can be completed by City staff and equipment. Both locations are on main collector streets where
there are significant scaling issues that need a lot of patching and will significantly improve the street rideability.
Staff have requested quotes from Omann Contracting Companies, Inc. (Omann) and T.A.G. Asphalt & Concrete and
received quotes of $13,200 and $18,900 respectively. Staff is recommending that the City contract with Omann to
perform this year’s contracted patching project at the quoted price of $13,200. This amount is within the $84,198
budgeted for contracted patching in 2025.
The Public Works Subcommittee was briefed on this information at its September 17, 2025, meeting and recommend
consideration of approval by the City Council.
