RECOMMENDATION:
City staff is recommending that the City Council schedule the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization Meeting.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
In accordance with Minnesota Statute §274.01, Wright County has tentatively scheduled a date of April 22, 2024, at 5:30 PM for
the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization (LBOAE) meeting. The Administrative Subcommittee discussed this at their January
10, 2024, meeting and determined it would be ideal to conduct the LBOAE at a dedicated meeting to allow more time to receive
and discuss appeals from property owners. The recommendation was for April 23, 2024, at 6:00 PM which was confirmed as
available by the Wright County Assessor’s Office.
Mailed notice of this meeting will be included within the notice of estimated market value and property classification which is
sent out annually by Wright County. Additionally, City staff will publish notice of the meeting in the Star News and post notice of
the meeting at the Prairie Center. An informational article is also included in the upcoming edition of the View newsletter.
