BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Otsego Prairie Festival was held on September 16, 2023, with an estimated attendance of 11,000 people. There
were 82 vendors, 16 food vendors, and 160 car show participants. To provide a variety of affordable activities for all ages
the Festival Committee works with area civic groups and businesses to provide monetary donations and volunteers.
Over 75 volunteers from various organizations helped to make the Festival a safe and fun event. These organizations
included Otsego Lions, Otsego Rod and Custom, Elk River Lions, and senior volunteers from RSVP.

ACCEPTING DONATIONS FOR SPONSORSHIP
OF THE 2023 OTSEGO PRAIRIE FESTIVAL
WHEREAS, the following Sponsors have made cash donations to the City of Otsego for the 2023 Prairie Festival; and
WHEREAS, the donation to the City is for the purpose of supporting provisions of community events in Otsego; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real or personal property be accepted only with
the adoption of a resolution of the governing body; and
WHEREAS, the City sincerely thanks the aforementioned business and community organizations for their generous donation
and for the support of their community.
